The Battle of Jutland was 31.05. - 01.06. 1916. The germans lost. I´ve never heard of any song in Denmark or Scandinavia about the battle.

Actually, Jutland is in Denmark. It is the part that is on the European mainland and which has a border with Germany.

(I have spent many happy months in Aarhus--its largest city.)

Didn't the German fleet never put to sea again in WWI after this battle?

What's the song about? I seem to recall reading some story of a 16 year old manning the guns on some ship at the Battle of Jutland. Is that the story told in the song?
