Subject: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: cockney Date: 11 Apr 03 - 10:31 AM Has anybody heard thgis band - They're MAD!!! If you get a chance to see them - don'r miss it! |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: catspaw49 Date: 11 Apr 03 - 10:33 AM Probably pissed off over having such a stupid ass name. Spaw |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: cockney Date: 11 Apr 03 - 10:41 AM I hope that's not mean't to be an insult - What exactly do you mean by stupid ass? and surely if they were pissed off then they'd change it! Is that beyond your comprehension Spew? .. sorry Spaw (what sort of name is that?) |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: catspaw49 Date: 11 Apr 03 - 11:14 AM Oh, I'd say it's about as non-sensical as their's is..........And of course I shouldn't have said "stupid ass." That was cruel. "Idiotically moronic" or "dumbass" might have been better. Sorry. Spaw |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: GUEST,Headshrinker Date: 11 Apr 03 - 11:20 AM Who is this Spaw character? - we could do without these idiots on this forum! Joe Bazouki is brilliant I have seen him playing with his other band - The Ukelele Orchestra Of Great Britain - a very talented man. Missing Puddings is a great name for a band, does anybody know when and where they are playing? - I would suggest tht the last correspondent go and see them before he resorts to slagging! |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: catspaw49 Date: 11 Apr 03 - 11:38 AM Actually, I didn't comment on their quality one way or the other and the nearest slag is in Cleveland. Since it was said they were "MAD" I thought perhaps it was their name that did it. Obviously I could be wrong and instead they have a subliminal hatred for their mothers. Folkmob on the 23rd....but you already knew that...... Spaw |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Amos Date: 11 Apr 03 - 11:48 AM I disagree, Headshrinker. I would be hard put to do without the idiot Spaw on this forum -- he keeps it from being over-run by people who take themselves way too seriously in various places. It's good for you! A |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 11 Apr 03 - 11:41 PM "Missing Pudding" sounds like a good name name for an Irish tune. I thought it was an open secret that Spaw is the user name of the Archbishop of Canterbury. |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: catspaw49 Date: 12 Apr 03 - 11:27 AM Bless you my child. Woodsie, you really need to keep your thread refreshed and up towards the top of the list for a couple of days or so anyway. You see, it's rather common knowledge around here that a thread without a dozen posts or so will die pretty quickly. For some reason, people are more likely to open a thread with 10+ posts on them so any posts sre good until you hit the magic number. I assume of course that you DO want to promote this group. So whether a post is about their name or whether they hate their mothers don't matter as long as the thread gets refreshed. You can of course just refresh it without comment but that's pretty boring. So if you want to let people know that this bunch of mother stabbers and father rapers is going to be at Folkmob on the 23rd then keep the thread on the daily list for a few days. Spaw |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Nemesis Date: 12 Apr 03 - 01:24 PM Joe is a sweetie .. and a fantastically talented musician .. coincidentally just playing a pre-release of the Ukes "Wuthering Heights" (Kate Bush has a bit of a problem with it .. or more likely a humour bypass) .. He also plays at the Alma Plumstead sessions apparently .. he's played my club here in Worthing and I've got him coming back sometime in the Autumn (I thought it was with his other band "Walking the Witch" .. maybe invite this new band instead then! Otherwise you can catch the Ukes at Shoreham by Sea (Adur Festival) www.adurfestival.co.uk, no doubt playing with the phenomemonally talented Mr Richard Durrant www.richard-durrant.com |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 13 Apr 03 - 12:59 AM Cool! A case of "Transatlantic Humor Loss" and a case of "Newcomer Gets Put Off by Spaw" in the same thread! And, anybody that would name their band "Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings" obviously has a sense of humor. I don't know Joe, but I doubt he'd be offended. Of course, he'd have to be smart enough to understand a pun based on the difference between British and American usages of the word "mad". Bruce |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: catspaw49 Date: 13 Apr 03 - 06:26 PM Obviously some don't Bruce!!! But since ol' Woodsie ain't come back to care for his thread, here's another refresh with a smile! So when one of you see these guys and assuming they aren't completely sans humor(humour), why not invite them over to the 'Cat where I can continue to insult them and perhaps find why they hate their mothers and also just where the hell the puddings turned up. They'll be at Folkmob on the 23rd. Spaw |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Nemesis Date: 14 Apr 03 - 11:19 AM One problem .. Joe may have the "Bag of Ultimate Sadness" as a stage prop .. but he doesn't have a computer! |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Dave Bryant Date: 14 Apr 03 - 11:39 AM It's OK 'Spaw - Woodsie likes being a stirer (under many different names). He quite often has extremely vicious arguments with himself. He's alright when you get to know him, though. You can find his own site here. Why not e-mail him on mickywoodsie@aol.com - perhaps you could send him some of your famous flatulence as an attachment. |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: catspaw49 Date: 14 Apr 03 - 12:40 PM Bag of Ultimate Sadness???? Like does the guy have dessicated balls or what?
Ohmygawd Dave!!!! Is that Woodsie? I am sooo sorry!! Obviously he has some issues too....with the first being that HE undoubtedly hates his mother for dressing him that way.....how pathetic....... |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Nemesis Date: 14 Apr 03 - 06:52 PM The Bag of Ultimate Sadness has many and ever changing contents .. possibly among them dessicated balls depending what Joe's bought/discovered from the last resting place of rubbish no one else will buy from garage sales .. Are they like chocolate coconut-covered ones or something Spaw? Is this a South Park reference :)? |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Dipsodeb Date: 15 Apr 03 - 07:17 AM WHY is there so much bitching on this site? Woodsie merely mentions a band, and it ends up in insults, not merely flung at himself but at a group of great people who catspaw apparently doesen't even know. I'm sure Joe would hate to know that he has now been titled with being a mother stabber and a father raper, at least you could be original with your insults and not nick them from Arlo's Alices resteraunt. The Missing Puddings is a great band. I have been listening to their CD for a few days now and look forward to seeing them sometime soon. deb |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Nemesis Date: 15 Apr 03 - 11:16 AM Dipsodeb.. they have a CD out .. I'm ringing Joe right now .. EXCELLENT! |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: catspaw49 Date: 15 Apr 03 - 11:31 AM Dipso, I'll have you know I insulted them at least 4 times before I used Arlo's famous line! And I think I knew about this band in their earlier days......Were they called "Joey Mouthbow and the Misplaced Jellos?" Just out of curiosity, are you all missing the fact that this is and was completely a joke from the gitgo? Just curious...... Spaw |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Tweed Date: 15 Apr 03 - 11:28 PM UK folkies please, please... try not to take Spaw too seriously. His declarations that you all seem to perceive as insults are of no more consequence than shit being flung by a chimpanzee. Therefore we beseech you to overlook these quirks and secretions of his and to desist from poking the beast. He's not well at all and lately has taken to wearing a rubber bathing cap in public. I don't believe that I need say more. Remember, Forgiveness is next to cleanliness which of course will always increase the chances for getting laid. Yerz, Tweed P.S. I'm on to you completely, this Missing Pudding band thread is a complete put-on.....like Spinal Tap, right? You clever Brits...almost had me there! |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Nemesis Date: 16 Apr 03 - 06:00 AM Of course, the genre of missing pudding is not specified .. pudding as in Haggis mayhap? The symbiotic coincidence of an encapsulated Haggis going missing and a rubber bathing cap appearing over Spaw's cranial contents is spooky, Non? |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: catspaw49 Date: 16 Apr 03 - 06:30 AM Ohmygawd Hille.........do you think...............**whiff-whiff**.........And all this time I've been wondering why this bathing cap smelled so damn funny!!!...............oy.............I gotta' go wash my hair.......... Spaw |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Dipsodeb Date: 16 Apr 03 - 07:16 AM Oh what the hell Catspaw, maybe I crawled up in the morning but my sense of humour didn't. I'm really sorry to hear about your headgear, by the way is it any good for stopping atmospheric waves from transfering thoughts to aliens from planet Xerion? cause I seem to be getting alota probs with this. I could never be really cross with the afflicted. Debs :) |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Nemesis Date: 16 Apr 03 - 02:18 PM Hey Spaw .. if the cap fits .. :) |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: catspaw49 Date: 16 Apr 03 - 02:45 PM Well damn! Now I understand the whole thing!!! Ya' see, transmitting thought to the Xerions is one of my favorite pastimes, even have my little Pyramid Hat made out of tin foil to strengthen the transition. Now I find that my bathing cap was made of Haggis which blocks the transmissions! Wait til I get back in touch with Bloxfec7 from Xerion. He'll really get a good laugh out of this!!! BTW, where's Woodsie at? Hopefully he's out buying new clothes....and without his mother!!! Man that garb is tragic!!! Spaw |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Nemesis Date: 17 Apr 03 - 05:27 AM Meanwhile you could of course, use the little tin foil pyramid hat to cook the Haggis in - in a primitive Earth-Boy Scout way ... especially if Bloxfec7 has got fed up with waiting .. However, as we are talking about an encapsulated cranial content - then sticking your head in the micro-wave has a similar effect and may in fact speed up transmissions of messages to Bloxfec7 .. but remove the little pyramid tin foil cap first. (But you knew that anyway) |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: catspaw49 Date: 17 Apr 03 - 08:05 AM Actually, I think I'll send Joe and the band a few of these hats. Maybe they will help them stop hating their mothers. Maybe Woodsie would like one too......help him improve his fashion sense. I think everybody needs one.....well, maybe two. If you have two, you have one to crap on and one to cover it up. Spaw |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Nemesis Date: 17 Apr 03 - 10:07 AM My goodness Spaw, you can crap on your head? What a clever contortionist you are! Oh, I get it .. it's verbal diahorrea .. less impressive vis distance to travel .. unless you talk out of your backside .. then, um ... How do you get the little pyramid caps to stay on? Can you draw us a diaghragm? (Does Bloxfec7 know about the mis-use of Galatic property .. or is this part of standard training for space-cadets?) This is all a coded locator message though, isn't it ... :(~)@^~^( (Eyes hidden the t**d at two pyramid caps (between) on top of pudding dome) |

Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: catspaw49 Date: 23 Apr 03 - 05:48 AM One of the many advantages to jacking around with a thread is that you keep it on the daily list and it gets more exposure. You never know how many read it and don't post to it, but I always suspect that the numbers are pretty high. Like Punch the Horse, Joe and the Puddings have started to become a bit familiar! So tonight's the night and we've multiply linked the info for anyone who wants it.....Hope they draw a crowd and all enjoy the show. Now if someone gets a chance, pass out the tin-foil pyramid hats and ask these guys why they're actually mad and is it because of the fucked up name or because they hate their mothers? Spaw |

Don't forget you can catch thrm tomorrow (today?) at the Islington Folk Club - DON'T MISS!!! |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Dipsodeb Date: 24 Apr 03 - 08:21 AM Fantastic night!! If you could bottle their feel good factor they'd be millionaires. Great to see em playing live, that Joe is sure an entertainer. I was really impressed with the temple he built out of various bits of wooden kitchenalia, and then invited everyone to take a piece home with them. I feel sorry for the guy who got given a packet of Mallow seeds though his neighbours ain't gonna be happy if he plants them, they're a bugger to get rid of. Pity it wasen't a marsh mallow plant now that would be something worth having. I am now the proud owner of 3 of his tapes (got last night) If you ever see them advertised GO SEE THEM you never know what you'll take home. |
Subject: RE: Joe Bazouki & The Missing Puddings!!! From: Nemesis Date: 24 Apr 03 - 04:53 PM Joe B.O.U.S. paraphernalia: I've taken home 2 tennis racquets, several pieces of china and a spider plant from gigs before now .. he was giving marigold seeds away the other week .. |
