I would really like to get the lyrics to the Charlie King song about "our life is more than our work". Does anyone know what song I'm reffering to and can you help get the lyrics.

Thanks John Weeks

I know the lyrics well. The song is on Charlie's "Two Good Arms" recording. It's just one of thirteen great songs on that tape...buy it you'll like it.

Our Life Is More Than Our Work
©1978, Charlie King/Pied Asp Music (BMI)

Look all around you, say, look all around you
See all there is just to be alive about
Look all around you at the people around you
See all there is just to being alive.
CHORUS
Oh, our life - is - more than our work
And our work - is - more than our jobs
You know that our life - is - more than our work
And our work - is - more than our jobs
Time clocks and bosses, investments and losses
How can we measure our life in numerals?
Time clocks and bosses, investments and losses
How can we measure our life in this way?

Think how our life could be, feel how our life could flow
If just for once we could get into letting go
Think how our life could be, feel how our life could flow
If just for once we could let ourselves go.

So, let go what holds you back, close your eyes, take a dive
We got a universe we got to keep alive
Let go what holds you back, close your eyes, take a dive
We got a universe fighting to live.

I couldn’t find the tune - anybody got it?

Certainly one of my favorite songs, and best appreciated with dozens of voices joining in on the chorus.

Cheerily,
