Busker hostel: Cheap place to sleep within walking distance of good streetsinging areas, or at least accessible by public transportation.

Here in Oz they are called BackPacker Hostels. If you do an Internet search on this term with the name of the place(s) where you want to stay you will probably find a lot.

There are a boat-load of Greek run hotels just off of Paddington Station. At fifty pound a night, and four, or six, or eight to a room you can make the first night rent in the first hour at Coventry, when they get intence move over to the park.
