Any other Mollie (Molly) O'Day fans out there. Country singer in SE USA about fifty years ago. Wreck on the Highway, Tramp on the Street, Teardrops Falling in the Snow, etc.

Yes, I discovered her amazing voice at a site full of online sound files. Whatta shouter! Learned some great gospel material from that.

Her husband is still alive, I think, and living in Huntington, WV. The WV heritage magazine--Goldenseal--ran an article about her about three years ago. At that time, her husband ran a very small gospel radio station frdom his house. She sang all gospel music in her later years, you know. I'll check and see what database Goldenseal is indexed on and report back.
