We had it in the US, but haven't seen it on in quite awhile. I'd read about the UK trial on google news. Interesting to hear how it turned out. How was his friend to know what were the correct answers? Incrdibly smart, well-versed or what?

Ebbie, (assuming you are in US of A.) Do you have a (syndicated)show called "Do You Want To Be a Millionaire" in your country? If you don't, then skip this thread.
In the UK one contestant got an "aide" to cough at the "right" answers and he "won" the million. But the show was pulled, investigated & he was brought to trial, and found guilty. So this show has now been aired for us all to see for ourselves. The £cheating" element was emphasised, but the guy still maintains his innocence (his sentence was suspended).
Brad.

An army officer allegedly cheated on the show by having a friend cough signals which gave him the answers. I believe he was convicted in a criminal court.
I have no opinion on his guilt or innocence as I live in Germany and have not seen the show.

We've now seen the show on TV in which an army major wins £1,000,000 ($2,400,000). It seems obvious but he pleads innocent. What do you think?
