Subject: One Two Three From: Mick Lowe Date: 01 Aug 98 - 06:01 PM Those of you having read the threads to Coward of the County jump this preamble. For those of you who haven't, BSeed talking about anti Vietnam songs reminded my of one I heard donkey's years ago. I can't remember who did it, though fish sticks in the decaying grey cells. The chorus went something like the following:- And it's one, two, three, what are we fighting for I don't give a damn, about Vietnam And it's five, six, seven, open up the pearly gates Don't you fret, dont you cry, whoppee we're all gonna die I know I should know this one so someone will help. Also it kind of leads into anti war songs in general. With the exception of Green Fields/ No Man's Land that has an entire web site devoted to it. Cheers Mick |

Subject: RE: One Two Three From: Roger Himler Date: 02 Aug 98 - 04:24 PM Nick, Oh yes, you wanted guitar chords as well as the lyrics. Here they are in the key of G, although it starts with a D chord.
(D)Come on all of you big strong men,
This was a favorite of the troops in Viet Nam. Roger in Baltimore |
