Subject: RE: Malcolm Holcomb Info From: WFDU - Ron Olesko Date: 10 Aug 06 - 10:20 AM I just finished listening to Malcolm's latest CD. An incredible songwriter. He was a guest on my show about a year ago and I was very impressed. His low-key style is really intriguing. His voice has a gravely "whiskey" quality to it and his songs remind me a bit of John Prine - but they are very unique. He is quite a character! He is someone who is high on my radar, I think you will be hearing more from him as he continues to get exposure. Ron |
Subject: RE: Malcolm Holcomb Info From: GUEST,April Date: 10 Aug 06 - 10:11 AM Thanks for the info regarding Malcolm Holcomb; how to find him and listen to his music. He used to be a very good friend to a dear friend of mine from Weaverville, NC. Malcolm's name has been popping up in different places around me, and I was curious to know what's become of him, and to hear his music. Again, thanks! |
Subject: RE: Malcolm Holcomb Info From: Jeep man Date: 05 May 03 - 07:46 PM Malcolm Holcombe was born and raised in the same little town as I. He was the age of my children and I remember when he was born. His father was Vaughn Holcombe. The family ran the local bus lines between Ashevile, NC, and Weaverville,Mars Hill, NC. I haven't seen him in a while but my daughter keeps up with him. If you like, I will ask her. Jim |
