Mister Fat Bad Actor himSELF?? Visit lil ole ME?? Why, I would be SPEECHless with humbling honor and embarrassment, after all the mean things I have said about him. I will be made so terribly wrong, as he will demonstrate that he is not the lard-ass, conceited mediocre egotistic, self-aggrandizing incompetent idiot that I thought he was. I will have to take all those crude remarks back after such a show of tolerance from Mister Shatner. Wow!!

Of course, if he doesn't show up, you realize all bets are off and a whole slew of adjectives will be coming your way, Little Hawk. This better be gopd!

And bald, too, Amos. You missed one! (Bald isn't a problem, but the bad rug is!)

I have made a decision,,, unanimously.
Me, myself and any-other who can and will unanimously agree.
With or without the King's consent, I now proclaim...
Without further notice, I will not fill the Playmate Paul Dolls with Erectile Penises, balloons, with helium.

I now, will fill them, with concrete.

Woah... very, very cool. I can't post much right now because my brain seems to have stayed at the beach (Tybee Island, Georgia) where my body has been for the last week with JtS and Allan C, but which is now at home here in Fort Mitchell, Alabama.

Firstly, welcome to the MOAB, polaitaly. We needed an international presence here, I think (well, more like multi-continental / multi-lingual / multi-cultural, actually, since the MOAB contains Canadians and Australians as well as USAns).

Bee-dubya-ell, I'm sorry we missed your jam session. We just ran out of steam long before everyone else got back from the Arlo Guthrie concert, so we went back to Allan's trailer and got ready for our trip to the beach (and beautiful historic Savannah, Georgia). I never made it to the accordion jam for the same reason.

I shall now resume waiting for the return of my brain.

By the way, Carol, I forgot to ask if you had an opportunity to try out any of our Florida Porta-Potties while at the Folk Festival. Did you? How do they compare to McGill's? Seats are warmer, I'll bet.

RR:

See if you can find something in between, like a heat-sensitive gel, for the sake of realism. Filled with concrete sounds a bit rough and certainly over-optimistic! :>)

Those were Florida Porta-Potties, Bee-dubya-ell? Well, how about that! They didn't say McGill on the front of them so I just assumed they were some kind of special Suwannee River rowboats or something. The flush-toilet restrooms were very nice though.

Ha! Amos you little 'practical' joker you. A warming gell would certainly be a far better realistic feel, but would it be as hard as concrete? You just gave me a new idea. Fill them up with cement and let them harden, then I can peel away the latex and have garden full of Playmate Paul Doll statues.

Rustic Rebel, I think you could probably make a lot of money with an idea like that one.

Wonderful idea, but ya know we had a song challenge recently on this theme:

Song Challenge 96.

'Course they were using stone sexy gnomes, not Full Size Peter Peckers. Maybe that would make all the difference.

SRS - just to make sure the record is straight - I am not polaitaly - nor is polaitaly me. Though I get a grin every time I see the handle.

I've seen CarolC play accordina with her clothes on, too! More then once! I'd say more - but I liked Jack the Sailor when I met him and don't want to give him a reason to kill me. The calander was fine, but live is better!

It's not your alter-ego, MMario? Are you sure about that? Maybe you've had a recent head injury and have completely blanked out on that side of your mudcat activity?   ;-)

it's possible that I am living a complete seperate life - I do tend to get blanks in my memory - and often have a vague look about me - but I don't *think* I'm polaitaly. If I am - I'm in trouble - as I have had conversations with polaitaly - and while I don't mind talking to myself I am disturbed about the possibility of myself answering.

but with 93 (96? - something like that) days to go to the half century mark nothing should surprise me.

I am in Illinois and my nephew, Utahraptor, said that the British are "dumb, because they talk funny."

He has been flogged for his uppity ways. A direct quote: "It REALLY hurt!"

I shall return Wednesday. Please hold the applause until I am completed.

Thank you, thank you, and all you little people how made this award possible: Frodo, Merry, Sam, Pippin and the rest.

MMario, if you've "seen CarolC play the accordina [sic] with her clothes on too!" then does that mean you've seen her in some other way also? "Too" implies in this case an additional circumstance, i.e. in addition to a clothed performance an unclothed performance (if we go with reductive binaries and let the opposites in fact be clothed/unclothed). Come clean now, or perhaps polaitaly has something to say on this matter.

Couldn't "too" in this case mean that, as with Little Hawk, MMario has also seen me play the accordion with my clothes on? Or would that have to be "also"?

But anyway, anyone who has seen my pictures in the Nearly Nude Calendars has seen me play my accordion naked. Or nearly so. Or at least they've seen a picture of me playing my accordion naked (nearly).

Maybe Utahraptor's sin was just reversing the subject clause and the predicate clause, and there was nothing wrong with the conjunction after all.

MMario - you're me?!? Yes, you're right, that would put you (or me, or the both of us) in a lot of trouble. First, you're male, I suppose, and I'm not; so you (or we) could be an hermaphrodite? Well, THAT would mean someone Really New and Original on the Mamma di Tutte le Stronzate! And by the way, why do you "get a grin every time you see the handle"? Is there something funny about it? (Please, don't tell me that when I choose a Mudcat name, I choose one that to a native English speaker sound like...like what? like funny? ORRORE!)

Heck, maybe you two Polas are long lost cousins or illegitimate children of royalty or sumfin'. We could use some new royalty around here as that khandu character seems to be remiss in his kingly duties. When's the last time we heard anything about the antics of the Royal Dancing Tarts?

MOAB can get a little polarised sometimes - weighed down with all this polemic - maybe we need some po-lice to straighten out some of these catters who, no offence Rapaire, are just a bunch of damn pole cats spraying their stuff. Anyone got a polaroid so we can pin down these bipolar poltergeists and teach them how to be po-lite.

and Mr Rapaire, this damn MOAB is so polymorphous, its like being on a polyurethene roller coaster, whirling from one damn politicking policy to another.

one minute its all about polka dots, the next its a damn Polynesian line dance.

MMario, I thought your first name was Mario. Too obvious, eh? Do you know the origin of your family name ? Pola is a town in Istria, a region near the north-western border of Italy- it's been part of Italy but it is no longer now, after the last world war. Maybe your people came from that town ?
I choose "pola" because my first name is Paola, and "italy" so nobody would have expected from me a good english spelling. Didn't want to squeeze my two or three brain cells left to find something else.
About the Political Opinion Polas - I'm ready, and willing , to take the job. My brain being in the shape it is (see above) it seems that I will be perfectly "in tono" with the place.

no - we don't know how the family name cam e about - though we have cousins who are "Solas" and a great-aunt married into a Borgia family.

The family lived (up until my grandparents emigrated) in the village of Finale Emilia - a place I want to visit if I ever manage to cross the pond. We still have relatives there.

Geeze, MM!! The things you learn!!

I have to say, though, that "Finale Emilia" sounds like a song from the Italian adaptation into opera of the "Little Shop of Horrors"' screenplay. ("Finale Emilia, was standing beside me...". I can hear Pavarotti doing it....)

Now, as to having an aunt who moved up in the world by marrying into the Borgia clan...I dunno, isn't that a family secret or sompn? Between that and the Polas and the Solas I think you're opening yourself up to becoming a one-man Song Challenge!!

Love ya, maestro!

MMario, Finale Emilia is near Ferrara. Ferrara now is a little town, but it' very, very beautiful and once was one of the most powerful town-states of Italy . And guess who was duchess of Ferrara, some five hundreds years ago? LUCREZIA BORGIA ! Some of your ancestors must have stumbled on one of her kin - Ah, but you don't have to worry . Lucrezia was by far the good side of the family !
And so your father is his own cousin? This is not a family tree... it's a strangling ivy...

Hmm. A search on Finale Emilia, Italia brings the information that while the town of FINALE is in EMILIA, EMILIA is apparently now called EMILIA ROMAGNA (at least it keeps going back to that on the links I found). Beautiful area, great stuff going on. Leo, make that trip!

Here's an interesting building but don't ask me how I got this--I just clicked on a few links on lines I couldn't exactly read.

Here and here seem to be pages of information about the town.

These are about the region:

SRS (Did I tell you that I can't read Italian but if you do a search in Google it will translate pages for you from your search results page?)

Well, "her dad" is usually her father, but it's my brother we're talking about and he's often been called "mother-something". I'm not quite clear on the last word, but it's probably "dear". So maybe her father is her mother as well. With him, it's hard to tell what exactly he is at any given moment.
