Ah. Haven't heard any repercussions in this sector, but then they have only minor presence in the county.

Shane tried to read the entirety Rapparee's last post so he could compose an insulting reply to it, but he couldn't get through it. He kept muttering "Flip ME!" under his breath, working his way painfully from one word to the next, tracing the letters of each word with his index finger...then finally froze in place, staring at the screen with his mouth hanging open and his eyes glazed. Don found him there around 11:30 this morning and was unable to get any kind of response from him. It appears that his brain may have fused or something like that. He didn't even respond to an offer of a cold beer! Don has wheeled him out into the backyard in a wheelbarrow in hopes that fresh air and sun may revive him, and is planning to call the paramedics or perhaps Officer Dana if the boy still hasn't regained consciousness by 5 pm.

A large number of sympathetic flies have gathered...

Nonhelical, incompressible turbulence always drives me mad, 'struth.

The hP thing? Hewlett Packard? High-Pressure? Helical paradigms?

Is that one of Greenspan's childish essays?

Raining again - I can hardly believe it. MOM still thinks it's so amazing that she was dancing naked in the driveway before dawn. I turned off the motion detector porch light so people driving past wouldn't see her too clearly.

Mom, I guess I've got to do EVERYTHING around here! And I didn't even crow over the palindrome because I'm so humble. Sheesh!

Amos, are you affected by the HP thing in San Diego? And have you read the article for this abstract in "APS"?

Magnetic flux conservation in turbulent plasmas at high magnetic Reynolds numbers is argued neither to hold in the conventional sense nor to be entirely broken, but instead to be valid in a statistical sense associated to the "spontaneous stochasticity" of Lagrangian particle trajectories. The latter phenomenon is due to the explosive separation of particles undergoing turbulent Richardson diffusion, which leads to a breakdown of Laplacian determinism for classical dynamics. Empirical evidence is presented for spontaneous stochasticity, including numerical results. A Lagrangian path-integral approach is then exploited to establish stochastic flux freezing for resistive hydromagnetic equations and to argue, based on the properties of Richardson diffusion, that flux conservation must remain stochastic at infinite magnetic Reynolds number. An important application of these results is the kinematic, fluctuation dynamo in nonhelical, incompressible turbulence at magnetic Prandtl number (Prm) equal to unity. Numerical results on the Lagrangian dynamo mechanisms by a stochastic particle method demonstrate a strong similarity between the Prm=1 and 0 dynamos. Stochasticity of field-line motion is an essential ingredient of both. Finally, some consequences for nonlinear magnetohydrodynamic turbulence, dynamo, and reconnection are briefly considered.

Let's try it both ways and see which generates more power. ;-D And don't forget to get out the probes...I think usin' a cattle prod inserted where the sun don't shine might produce a really dramatic response from "the library dude". Probably show up real good on them seismographs out around San Francisco Bay.

NOTHING can satisfy that man's unnatural lust! ;-D Trust me on this. Half the call girls in Idaho have tried, farm animals have tried, other Idaho Legion members have tried, even machines have been tried, and he still ain't satisfied.

I call it that a hopeless case. Ook! Ook! He oughta be strapped to a bench and used to generate some electrical power if ya ask me.

Tell you what -- take one of those hand-rolled breakfasts with the fresh creamery butter and new-picked strawberries and high-grade coffee and all, and just throw it all in the blender, set it on high for ten minutes, and pour it out on Mom's best plate and serve it to her in bed. See what she says about your topological hypotheses.

Topologically, the kayak would remain the same; only the shape will be changed. How is that destructive?

Squeeze the ends toward the middle. If you can't do it, put it lengthwise between two tankers or aircraft carriers.

Amos, if you painted your kayak orange, you could go be a ringer in this pumpkin regatta. And maybe Little Hawk, being from the general area, could grow his own.

My old man unscrewed the ones I have. They are paper weights now. Even the springs are gone. It all had to do with a fishing incident in Ontario many years ago. When you can see bottom and there are no fish "intact" floating downstream, you have... I believe the technical terminology is... fucked up big time.

Hey Rap... that minds me a one time that Dad was up ta camp fer two weeks in Ontario on a deer hunt in the early 60s. Last day was always a big party. They would take all the booze bottles and have a "shootout". Now, my old man was a "Golden Bullet" marksman every year he was in The Forces. He taught small arms and other shit. I have seen him take the top off a coke bottle at 60 paces with a bull barrel 22 Cooey matter of factly. He was deadly accuarte.

On this trip, he waited until everyone else had their go and then he had a go much to the surprise of all present... 38mm Parachuten... two extended clips. Game wardens arrived about a half hour later and Dad sent them up the road to the next camp.

Livened things up a bit!

From "The Sudbury Star", Friday, March 13, [year missing]:

To Miss Leona McBride, a son, Shame. Weight at birth: 4 kg., weight one hour afterbirth: 2 kg. Doctor's comment: Never before have I seen such an excellent example of tinea cruris as this baby. And never before has so small an infant presented the hospital with 2 kg. of fecal matter in such a short time.

IN the small circle of hell where I earn my daily bread, Fridays are very special. THe HR department rolls in boxes of doughnuts, oranges, bagels, and other snacky delights and everyone descends on the lunchroom to celebrate another productive week. Also, Friday signifies the approach of two days of not having to go to work.
