Don't drink that rotgut they drink down There on Skid Road. And have a Twinkie or three, they'll help fill you up and help with the munchies you get from smokin' that whacky tobakky. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Rapparee Date: 11 Feb 10 - 08:15 PM Libraries ARE vaguely pornographic, Amos. Some, like the one at Indiana University, more so than others. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Amos Date: 11 Feb 10 - 01:28 PM THat sounds vaguely wise, or pornographic, I'm not sure which!! A |

Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: MMario Date: 11 Feb 10 - 11:17 AM Stilly - the area I live in hasn't had hardly any snow at all; we got maybe 1/2 inch out of the last storm..... |

Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Little Hawk Date: 10 Feb 10 - 08:20 PM There's the Shatner Gap, though. That really worries Canadians. What I mean is, William Shatner IS Canadian...but he lives in the USA most of the time! It's very disturbing when I think of how much he could do for Canada if he only spent more time on home ground. The fact that you guys have Woody Allen, on the other hand, sort of makes up for it. Whew! (wiping the sweat off my brow in extreme relief...) |

Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Rapparee Date: 10 Feb 10 - 07:00 PM Why would you think it will be Lichtenstein, eh? |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Little Hawk Date: 10 Feb 10 - 06:05 PM Stilly, you are so right... (grin) Amos, I would go and live in the USA immediately if it was part of Canada. You betcha! The problem is, you have a great piece of geography down there being presided over by a ludicrous political and social system. You guys desperately need fundamental regime change from the top down! I can only pray that Liechtenstein will strike while the snow storms have Washington paralyzed and bring down the whole rotten edifice... ;-) Then we Canadians will go in as "peacekeepers" afterward and reorganize things, and you'll all finally get a proper national health insurance plan and a national anthem with a decent tune that can be sung by someone with a less than 2-octave range. (Heh! Heh! Ducking and running for cover...) |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Amos Date: 10 Feb 10 - 05:58 PM I ain't never been Mud Slid except one time when the Evil Sisterhood went after my pore ass. Long ago and far away. But in California the only mud I get is when I do a facial thing. :D And I hear tell Little Hawk and Chongo have holed up somewhere in the Yucatan peninsula, planing their next political campaign in the dizzy realms of the never-real. So they ain't hurting for weather just now. To be honest it puzzles me why someone would want to live somewhere that just dumps on him every year and makes him all frizz and mizzable. A |

Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Stilly River Sage Date: 10 Feb 10 - 05:49 PM It's beginning to sound like the entire nation, except the corner of California where Amos lives, is going to be covered with snow. Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Rapparee Date: 10 Feb 10 - 04:27 PM Well, they didn't want to play with me when I tuned it to Gb and A# at the same time. That is, the upper register chanters were tuned to Gb and the lower register pipes were in A#. I left the middle reeds alone, tuned to E, naturally. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Amos Date: 10 Feb 10 - 02:54 PM I guess that depends on who's playing it. It doesn't have to always Bb. A |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Rapparee Date: 10 Feb 10 - 02:50 PM I used to play the peccadillo in the Fourth of July parade. It was a Bb peccadillo. |

Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Amos Date: 10 Feb 10 - 12:03 PM I know my pecadilloes are behind me, some of them at least, but have the ones for'ard of me also been pardoned? Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Stilly River Sage Date: 10 Feb 10 - 12:02 PM This morning I went through the Windows Explorer route to the C directory and am glad to find my old files are there, set aside by the new Win7 operating system. It has been a job to set it up, but it is in place. Everything looks different, but I may not have to reinstall everything, or at least I can connect the new install with the old data. I know you said you never wanted to hear about computer stuff, MOM, but it's better than than dwelling on having to euthanize the cat yesterday. (See the declutter thread for that story). Anyone getting snowed on? Any more bullets turning up in Rap's office? |
