Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Rapparee Date: 24 May 14 - 10:27 AM It doesn't matter. Has the fracking snow melted? How's the fishing? Does your lawn have grubs? Has NB successfully seceded? Compare and contrast the following: Why. Tell us about the impact of Swedenborg on the founding of Ft. Worth. Discuss in detail the solution to Fermat's Last Theorem. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: gnu Date: 24 May 14 - 07:24 AM I can post today! Yippee! Let the bells ring and the banners fly! I can post! Wish I had sommat ta say. |

Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Stilly River Sage Date: 23 May 14 - 10:26 AM I predict a lot of driving today. I have a roll of TP in case MOM can't wait till we get to a Rest Area and has to wander into the brush at a "Picnic Area" (a rest stop with no bathrooms). |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Rapparee Date: 23 May 14 - 10:04 AM Yup. Just like Custer. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: gnu Date: 22 May 14 - 08:24 PM Stand is cool. Fall down dead? Not so much. Let Bacchus' sons be not dismayed But join with me, each jovial blade Come, drink and sing and lend your aid To help me with the chorus: cho: Instead of spa, we'll drink brown ale And pay the reckoning on the nail; No man for debt shall go to jail From Garryowen in glory. We'll beat the bailiffs out of fun, We'll make the mayor and sheriffs run We are the boys no man dares dun If he regards a whole skin. Our hearts so stout have got no fame For soon 'tis known from whence we came Where'er we go they fear the name Of Garryowen in glory. And then.. yer fucked. |

Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Rapparee Date: 21 May 14 - 07:37 PM Mom asked me to tell everyone that one hundred and fifty (150) rounds of .45-70 Government ammunition with 405 grain lead round-nosed, flat pointed bullets weighs just about an ounce over 14 pounds, or 6.38 kilograms. This factoid is brought to you by Mom MOAB herself. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Stilly River Sage Date: 21 May 14 - 04:50 PM Lots of lovely Herkimer quartz in the region, if I recall! I have had my eye on an old schoolhouse for decades - I used to drive past all of the time on my way to work in the Cascade Mountains from near Seattle in Washington. It is in the town of Oso (yes, the one with the mud slide). It is about 4-5 miles west of the slide area, but with that activity it certainly merits a second look for anyone who decides to move in and refurbish. Turns out it was a white tail deer the other evening, I got more photos and we looked, where else, at the tail. White when it's up in flight. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: beardedbruce Date: 21 May 14 - 02:34 PM Just leaf it alone. Wells in that area are high sulphur ( 6 miles from Richfield Springs, NY). The spring is sweet water. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Rapparee Date: 21 May 14 - 01:10 PM Leaf or coil spring? |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: beardedbruce Date: 21 May 14 - 07:56 AM As long as you don't mess with my spring. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Rapparee Date: 20 May 14 - 10:57 PM Are the mineral rights underneath taken yet? I want to drive a mine underneath and look for yttrium. I hope the blasting won't bother you too much. |

Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: gnu Date: 20 May 14 - 09:20 AM Check on any fracking leases first. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: beardedbruce Date: 20 May 14 - 07:28 AM Went up to upstate NY last weekend to meet with the land-use officer for town of Exeter. I have a 10,000 sq ft schoolhouse 8 miles from Cooperstown, and plan to retire up there. Almost enough room there for my books. On the drive from my friends' house 7 miles away to the schoolhouse, I saw one rabbit and two deer on the road- NO cars. On the way back, there was one wild turkey- again, no other cars. I have GOT to get the place fixed up and move up there! |

Subject: RE: BS: The Mother of all BS threads From: Stilly River Sage Date: 20 May 14 - 02:37 AM MOM was real excited to see a mule deer doe this evening, wanted to come home and look up sausage recipes. Fortunately for this doe, the camera is never fatal when shooting. |
