Subject: Old Songs Festival Tidbit From: Hollowfox Date: 11 May 03 - 02:18 PM I just found out from my ex-mother-in-law (still a friend) that the building usually used for dancing bit the dust last winter. The concrete pad is still there for after-concert dancing (weather permitting), but there'll be some rearranging for daytime workshops. |

Subject: RE: Old Songs Festival Tidbit From: AllisonA(Animaterra) Date: 13 May 03 - 06:13 AM No more giant clown face? How sad! What will they use instead? (I always found the concrete floor a little hard on the feet... but I don't dance that much at Old Songs. Too much singing to do!) |
Subject: RE: Old Songs Festival Tidbit From: Hollowfox Date: 13 May 03 - 01:59 PM According to an article in the May 8 issue of the Schenectady Gazette, the roof collapsed during the winter. Yes, it's the one with the clown face, next to the Folk Legacy booth. Fear nt, Anais, the festival will go on, with a wee bit of rearranging. There are plans to erect a large tent over the concrete floor, so the after concert dancing will go apace. They just have to relocate the daytime workshops. See you all there, Mary |
