Frankly, GUEST D.P., I wouldn't bother. I've got a tape of theirs which I bought at a gig many years ago, but it wasn't very good (unlike them).

It's almost impossible to do justice to that kind of entertaining act on a recording.

Guest T-boy....

David is looking to replace a tape of the Rascals that he previously owned - if yours is unloved and unwanted why not "pass it on"?

I know this isn't eBay but, I'm just a born matchmaker ;-)

Is this the same Bob Greenwood who used to have a folk programme on the radio in the Sheffield area?

In his early days he ran the University folk club in Swansea, which is where I met him.

I saw Bob at Darlington Arts Centre Beer Festival some years ago and was most impressed. I didn't rush out and buy loads of Hawaiian music but it made a refreshing change.

I think he said he was a solicitor or accountant in Bradford, is he in the telephone directory http://www.bt.com/directory-enquiries/ ? web searches seem to date from 1997

http://www.laughinggravy.org.uk/links.htm has a broken link

I've email Laughing gravy - and had an email back from Paul(Dank) Bishop................

Hi Pete,

Sorry, I don't know anything about 'Bob Greenwood's Rhythm Rascals'.
I'll ask the rest of the lads though as I've only been with the band since 1999 and they may have met/worked with him.

Regards,

Paul (aka Dank)

We used to Book them regularly at our club in Walthamstow, but suddenly all our contacts dried up.

Many of our regulars have said they would like to see them again so any news would be welcome.

I saw them at Bradshaw Folk Club many years ago, he came accross as an arrogant twat to me, during the break I asked him a question about a song and he just sneered at me, his attitude was ' I'm the star here, who do you think you're talking to '
