Subject: Oak Ash & Thorn and Shay Black From: Dave Swan Date: 22 May 03 - 01:55 PM Oak Ash & Thorn is pleased to announce that we will be joined by Shay Black on Friday, 7 June at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley. Shay has been a friend for years and we've had a great time preparing for this gig together. He brings talent, musicianship, a great ear, and he brings beer to rehearsal...what more can you ask? Here's Shay on Oak Ash & Thorn's website. Stop by if you're in the neighborhood. If you're not near by, make travel plans. D |

Subject: RE: Oak Ash & Thorn and Shay Black From: GUEST,Val Date: 22 May 03 - 08:02 PM Please say hello to Shay from all of us at the Lancaster Maritime Festival - big fans of Stormalong John, who he used to perform with. |

Subject: RE: Oak Ash & Thorn and Shay Black From: SINSULL Date: 24 May 03 - 03:15 PM Is this Kathy Westra, George, and Mary or another OAT? I am confused. |
Subject: RE: Oak Ash & Thorn and Shay Black From: Dave Swan Date: 24 May 03 - 04:02 PM Michael, that's a maybe passing through sort of thing, don't know whether there will be a sighting or not. Sinsull, this is the OAT which has been practicing (you would think we would get it right) on the left coast since 1974 or so. We are confused too, but it hasn't stopped us. We weren't aware that there was another bunch called Oak Ash & Thorn, but it's a common enough name. Here is Oak Ash & Thorn our website. D |
Subject: RE: Oak Ash & Thorn and Shay Black From: SINSULL Date: 24 May 03 - 06:44 PM Thanks, Dave. I was wondering how Kathy was going to be in two places at once. Doesn't this interfere with laying about???? |
Subject: RE: Oak Ash & Thorn and Shay Black From: Dave Swan Date: 24 May 03 - 09:02 PM Shhhhhhh, don't let on. |
Subject: RE: Oak Ash & Thorn and Shay Black From: Peter Kasin Date: 25 May 03 - 05:31 PM Damn, have to miss this one because of the chantey sing. Anyone who can go that night, get your tickets soon, as both OAT and Shay garner big audiences. OAT has sold out at the freight most, if not all of the times they've peformed there. When you hear them, you'll know why. Chanteyranger |
