Subject: RE: Busking on London Underground From: Liz the Squeak Date: 24 May 03 - 07:01 PM I wondered what the licence information was doing here.... and why he's been practicing all the old "favourites".... He'll probably be on the District or Central lines... no foreign coins please, but shirt buttons we can always use. LTS |
Subject: RE: Busking on London Underground From: Bernard Date: 24 May 03 - 06:25 AM No point in licensing THINKING, though... not enough people do it to make it worthwhile! Licensing buskers is possibly a good idea, but auditioning is far too subjective... just because I don't like the way one person sings deosn't necessarily mean that they are bad... I wonder what criteria 'they' intend to apply, and how?! Whilst we're at it, Orc, never underestimate the Power of the Morris! One carefully calculated jingle of my bells, and you will be sent to a place where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth (and those who have no teeth will gnash their gums!)... |

Subject: RE: Busking on London Underground From: greg stephens Date: 23 May 03 - 05:23 AM Licensing and auditioning buskers,eh? Well, we've all experienced the manufactured pop groups in recent years, it will be interesting to see how this process affects street music. |
Subject: RE: Busking on London Underground From: Beardy Date: 23 May 03 - 05:08 AM I understood they were 'auditioning' buskers to ensure a semblance of skill/talent/ability to the proceedings. |
