I have been twice to LA, 6 months apart, in Oct 2003 & Apr 2004. It pissed with miserable teeming rain both times. ~Michael~ |
Subject: Lyr Add: ROOM WITH A VIEW (Tony Carey) From: Jim Dixon Date: 17 Jan 12 - 07:02 PM ROOM WITH A VIEW As sung by Tony Carey on "Live in Sweden 2006 Volume 1" (2007) Well, he used to be a tailor, sewed those suits so fine, And he never heard of failure and he never tasted wine. He used to be a leader when he had someone to lead, And he used to be a father when he had some mouths to feed, When he had some mouths to feed. And they say it never rains in L A County. It gets cold enough to wish you had a few; And he laughs tonight, says, "I finally found me A room with a view, Room with a view, Room with a view. How 'bout you?" He was living in a castle that he built with his own hands Out of newspaper and cardboard; he was living off the land. He was living off the land. He was living off the land; And they say it never rains in L A County. It gets cold enough to wish you had a few, And he laughs tonight and says, "I finally found me A room with a view. Oh, how 'bout you? Oh, how about you? How 'bout you?" |

Subject: looking for artist and haunting lyrics From: GUEST,louise in South Africa Date: 23 May 03 - 03:39 AM Hi, a couple of years ago, I heard a haunting song on the radio. It didn't seem to make it in popularity stakes, so it just faded away. But, funnily enough at a campfire singalong, someone mentioned it so I thought 'hey, That's coincidence"! The song was sung by a man, and the words: "Room with a view" wre repeated throughout. The part that I remember goes something like this...."and he used to be a leader, when he had someone to lead ...something something...a room with a vew, howabout you" Well that's little enough, but you good folks out there have helped in the past, and no doubt will help in the future. Have a great weekend |
