Hi Folks -

    I wonder if anyone out there has picked up on this number yet ?

    I'm mesmerized by the tune and by the message in general.    All I've been able to learn about the song is that it was supposedly part of a demo for a 'to-be-released' CD or album... A visit to Tom Rush's web site wasn't much help (perhaps I didn't persevere)...

    Any help with the lyrics would be most appreciated -

According to a search link, I came up with :

   We have had several member inquiries about the titles and lyrics for Tom's recordings.   The songs on the Work In Progress tape are, according to Tom, in "various stages of completion" and are:

All A Man Can Do (words & music by Richard Dean), - a song military folks can relate to.

A further search with Richard Dean's name did not come up with anything further.

Tom Rush's version of Richard Dean's "All a Man Can Do" appears on Tom's first studio CD in 35 years, "What I Know," released earlier this year by Appleseed Recordings (www.AppleseedMusic.com). The lyrics to the song are included in the CD's booklet. AND it,s a great CD!
