I just picked up Yazoo's 3-CD set, "Before the Blues". Great stuff! The sound quality is excellent -- it's pretty amazing how modern technology can clean up scratch old 78s. As per usual for Yazoo, the packaging and liner notes are excellent.

Highly recommend, especially if you're into the early 20th century songsters whose music evolved into the blues.

To the best of my knowledge, Yazoo has never done a less-than-marvelous job of either remastering or programing. BTW, all of Yazoo's titles are available from CAMSCO Music 800/548-FOLK (3655)

Dick - Yazoo is pretty amazing indeed. The song selection, sound quality, and packaging/liner notes are top-notch. Do you have any of their other pre-blues collections, like Hard Times Come Again No More or Times Ain't Like They Used to Be?
