Subject: A Neansaí ,'mile grá From: Philippa Date: 17 Sep 99 - 08:12 AM A Neansaí ,'mile grá, a bhruinneal 'tá gan smál, Go bhfeice mise an t-ádh 'as an séan ort. Ba ghile gile do dhá láimh ná cúr geal na trá N'an eala 'gus í a' snámh ar an Éirne. Is glaise liom do shúil ná braon beag den drúcht, 'S is binne liomsa thú ná na téadaí Mura n-éalaí tusa liomsa, titfidh mé i lionndubh, 'S cuirfear insan chill 'do dhiadh mé. Is iomaí sin guth mná a chluinim in gach áird, Abhus 'gus taobh thall den Éirne, Go Corcaigh na gcuan' 's go Béal Átha na Sluagh, 'Si Neansaí a thug bua ar an méid sin. A Mhuire 'gus a Dhia, nárbh aoibhinn deas é ár saol Da mbéinnse agus í le chéile? Tráthnóna aoibhinn ciúin, mise agus mo rún Ag cogarnaigh ar uaigneas' sléibhe. Beir litir uaimse suas chuig Neansaí chaoin na gcuach Is aithris dí gur buartha atá mé. Aithris dí arís nach gcodlaimse aon oíche, Ach le harraing atá trí mo thaobh deas. Aithris é dá súil, aithris arís dá cul, Aithris é dá méin mhaith chéillí. Aithris é dá ceann 's dá béilín atá binn' Gur ghiorraigh sí go cinnte mo laethe. Dé Domhnaigh má tchímse stór geal mo chroí Tiocfaidh an t-amharc chugam aris 's an t-éisteacht; An tuirse atá ar mo chroí, go n-imeoidh sí díom, 'S ní aithneofar an aois ar m'éadan. A Mhuire is a Rí, nach athtuirseach a bhím, 'S is go scaipfinn, dá mba fíon uilig, an Éirne. An bhfuil duine ar bith sa tír a bhainfeadh díom mo mhian? Níorbh fhada mé sa tsaol seo ina héagmais. é é á á í í ó ó ú ú Á Á É É I/ Í Ó Ó Ú Ú
