I gather that the mighty Filarfolket are to play a few reunion gigs later this year at least 1 in US and 1 in Sweden but can't find anything for UK. Anybody (Ralphie possibly) know anything? Tried uk.music folk but got little response.

Yes, Have heard the same, negotiations ongoing according to Thomas Ringdahl....Trying to blag a freebie for myself!! I think it unlikely, however, that they will visit Britain, judging by the paltry amounts of money that are likely to be offered...Any Rich sponsors out there??

If I hear any more news, I'll let you know.

Thanks. This reunion seems to have taken a long time to get together. I asked Ale Moller if there was any chance of a Filarfolket reunion after an excellent gig with Aly Bain at Celtic Connections 2002 and he said it was about to be organised then. (btw I think the Moller/Bain cd excellent, but seemingly rather overlooked - gives new slants to some well known tunes)
