Sorry to bother the group with a non-folk request, but GOOGLE was of no help.

Regarding the song "The Cisco Kid", by Eric Burdon & War (1972, I believe): my memory has one of the lines being:

"The Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine. He drink Whiskey, Pancho drinkin' Wine"

But my wife insists that the line is

"He drink [or drank] Whiskey like you're drinkin' wine"

I suppose that Mondegreens are a permitted topic for Mudcat. Which one of us has committed the Mondegreen? or are we both wrong?
