Subject: Crawley or Leigh?? From: GUEST,Lidy Date: 27 Jun 03 - 05:09 PM Hey hey hey! tomorrow I'm off to Crawley but it was a tough call- Crawley only just winning due to being able to see Jim Moray! Free music is good music! Anyone else going? I'll be wandering about in a purple dress with white flowers, come and say hello! Lidy |

Subject: RE: Crawley or Leigh?? From: Nemesis Date: 29 Jun 03 - 05:49 PM What a classy little festival! Best music (nearly) was the free stuff in the foyer today: Alljiggedout .. runners up "Young Folk" BBC 1999 - maturing beautifully : Mike Nicholson : Ungagged with their wonderful version on banjo and accordian (Richard Durrant and Tom Arnold) of "Leilah" dazzling the audience : Tanna with Peter Knight (Blue Murder in the Theatre at the same time - much better than when I saw them at Sidmouth 2 years ago despite sound problems with Martin Carthy's guitar) And the wonderful Dr Faustus with Paul Sartin from Belshazzar's Feast... Lovely atmosphere .. very relaxed .. everyone mellow and great to see kids getting off on the music Hats off to Crawley's The Hawth! |
