Arrrrgh! When I go to the site I've been using for years, www.mudcat.org I now get a create your own website ad page. Any guesses as to what happened?

I have no idea what that could be... I just went to www.mudcat.org and it looked and loaded just fine and dandy...

Just switched back to www.mudcat.org/ and found the same as Clinton
Hammond. All O.K.
As a Mudcat lurker could I say THANK YOU, THANK YOU,THANK YOU,
to Max for giving us this lovely site, and to the great people
that come here.
Through you all I have gained much insight into things too
numerous to mention here. Had a lot of laughs, and been tempted
into playing again.

This has never happened before - no problem getting to the Mudcat Discussion Forum page - but the Help Forum page seems inaccessible.

More often than not even when the main page is down, you can get the Help page. Does this indicate some serious problem looming?

The Mudcat Help forum is not working for me. My PC just hangs when I try to visit it.

I don't know what you did but maybe you tried betty, a name max mentioned for a new server running mudcat.

The odd thing there is that betty.mudcat.org exists as another machine (107 rather than 105) and produces a "Your Home Page Goes Here" message and details on O'Reilly Website Pro.
