It occurs to me I should toss up some information about this shindig, especially since I'm somewhat involved. There's an excellent lineup, it's at an excellent indoor (and air-conditioned)venue and the quality of the mainstage sound is nothing less than joyous. Nominal cost ($15 + service charge).

Opening ceremony at 11:30, and I get to start off the first workshop at noon. Among others on the stage with me for the bass workshop will be Sandy Horne (of James Gordon and . . .) and Al Parrish of Tanglefoot.

My own wee group, an old time/roots trio we've named "Ezeduzit" has a little 'spotlight' concert in the afternoon.

Now if any 'catters should attend, pretty please make yourselves known to me. If anyone can't point me out by nams, just look for the little round guy with the red, heart-shaped bass (really).

Please post picture of bass. Since I'm way down in Maryland I can't make your festival, but I sure would like to see a red, heart-shaped bass.

I built a bass special for Jeremiah a few years ago,but it certainly wasnt heart shaped.
More like a pear shape.
Dont tell me you have forsaken my shape Jeremiah, for the heart of another?

Always first in my heart, Glen, but lately I have been playing the electric mostly, and it is heart-shaped.

Fortunato, fear not. I'm assembling a personal page for my website, and will have photos of my instruments. A friend of mine installed her white stetson on my head and took a shot of me and the Heartbreaker. I've also got a fair shot of me wearing a celtic vest with my Reid in hand. The caption'll read "From Celtic to Cowboy, with many a detour in between."

Should be soon (soon as I bestir myself off my Royal Canadian and finish it!)
