Where IS Danny Spooner?

I was hoping to get to hear the amazing Danny Spooner again while he is here in the Northeast, but his site only gives the most general of information, like a town and a date. Does anyone have more specific information on how to go hear him? Contact phone numbers, times, addresses? Bill D? (at work, can't PM from here)

I just heard Danny Spooner give a house concert at the home of his good friend Jerry Epsten in Jackson Heights, New York City. That was on Monday, 6/30/03. I suppose Jerry knows where Danny is. You can e-mail Jerry at [e-mail]

tomorrow night, 17th...house concert in Cambridge, MA for Folk Song Society of Greater Boston (will stay with someone at Harvard until he goes to Pinewoods Camp next week)...then one house concert in NY on the 27th before heading to Wash DC

Thanks, I'll e-mail Jerry. (Am guessing he is the "JE" on 17 July then.) BillD, do you know an address or time for Boston? It's not much over two hours from here. Site also said on the next line something about Essex, was hoping that might be 18th but can try calling the museum, and does anyone have a phone/schedule/location for Pinewoods.

Pinewoods Camp Folk Music week is a week-long session. It's a beautiful spot near Plymouth, Mass. -- a gorgeous, pine-forested oasis with two ponds for swimming, fairly rustic accommodations, good meals cooked for you by others three times a day, lots of opportunities for participatory singing, concerts by the staff....

AND there are still a few openings for Folk Music Week, which begins this Saturday--July 19, and goes until noon Saturday the 26th. Danny is on staff and will be doing 2-3 classes each day. Also on staff this year are (Brits listed first for Celtaddict) Dave Webber and Anni Fentiman (doing harmony singing and a couple of other daily classes),Vic Gammon, George Ward, Bob Walser and Julie Young, and a number of others. Folk Music WeekPinewoods Camp If there's any chance for you to go, I highly recommend it! Dick Swain is the program director this year, and he and his partner Nancy Mattila will go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and at home!

Danny will be in DC at BillD's house for a house concert on the 31st (Bill forgot to mention the date, I think).

Danny's on his way to Canada now, after a week at Vocal week at Augusta Heritage Center. I think there's a concert in Quebec City?

He has only nice things to say about everyone he's met this summer.

I just spoke to Danny this morning! He called to thank us for stuff and said he is doing well, and will be glad to get home soon...He seemed pretty sure this will not be his last trip to these parts...

Anyone who has one last chance to hear him, don't miss it..
