Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Dandelion by Bob Stuart From: GUEST Date: 22 Jul 03 - 04:08 PM Bernie, Thanks for that! I did sing the chorus and the one verse I knew this afternoon. It's a good song for kids and makes the point that one person's weed is another's flower. Peace, Kathleen |

Subject: Lyr Add: DANDYLION (Bob Stuart) From: maeve Date: 12 Sep 07 - 08:58 AM Bob has lived in Rockland, Maine for several years. The song is "Dandylion" and the lyrics are as followed, according to the album notes for Bob's "Rainbows End" LP. I'm sure the format will need tweaking, Joe-clones. Thanks in advance! maeve ************************************** Dandylion When the sun, it shines so bright, The dandylion opens wide. When my son sleeps at night, The dandylions all close tight. Chorus: Dandylion, dandylion, dandylion, With golden hair. Dandylion, dandylion. Such a dandy lying there. Some folks are sad and so forlorn To see a dandylion in their lawn. But that star of gold in that sea of green Is the prettiest sight I've ever seen. When you're walking in bare feet, And the green grass tickles and it feels so neat, Keep those dandylions in sight, For a dandylion is a bee's delight. When a dandylion's hair turns grey, The wind it will com and blow it away. But don't be sad, oh don't despair, For soon there will be dandylions everywhere. Bob Stuart, "Rainbows End" c.1983 Bonnie Banks Records |
