I'll try that again.
I'm learning a song that is off a Strawhead album, (I think.) It's got a glorious, long chorus but a couple of phrases are unclear.

Third verse
The Madre de Dios is soon floating higher as ********** dealers ******
But, Hold, good Queen Bess to the West sends her treasurer
And all we true Devonish blades now turn tail.
For paying a tax on this God given fortune
Would be an affront to our good Saviour's eye
And surely we mean to give such offence
So fast up the post road with fat packs we fly

CHORUS

So Hurrah for the West and Hurrah for the men who have brought this great treasure to gladden our view
Hurrah then to Burroughs and Norton and Thompson
Your good crewmen all, Here is brave thanks to you.
Hurrah for Tiger, the Warsite, the Roebuck,
Hurrah ??? to the Dane (Dainty?)? so bravely she fought.
And a last loud Hurrah for the Spaniard Mendoza
With his Madre de Dios now stuck in our port

Does anyone recognise the two phrases?

Sounds like an interesting song. I found a Strawhead Website, but no specific information on the song.

Yeah...it is ...the first verse goes

Down in the west there are cries of delight
As the carrick of Spain struggles in on the tide,
Full seven decks high towering over the key
And four hundred men strain to pull her alongside.
She's here from the Indies (but gently persuaded
With powder and ball to steer course for our land).
A vast cornucopia, laden with riches,
And to moor her securely all men lend a hand.

A real mouthful to sing but great with a good story to boot.

The lyrics are on that image of the album (vinyl), but my eyes aren't good enough to make them out.

Third verse
"... floating higher as load on the quayside the dealers all rail"
"...Hurrah for the Dainty so bravely she fought."
