If anyone's stuck for a folk club to go to in August, we've got a singers/players night every Monday, and we're not shutting. Just off the M25 if you're interested on Herts, Essex border

Some of us will be at Broadstairs for second week, so it may be thin on the ground, but it is still running. Everyone welcome
The address is. The British Legion, Brooker Road, Waltham Abbey Essex. Starts 8.30pm.

Hope everyone enjoys the festivals they visit.

I can confirm it's a nice little club - and the beer is cheap too.

Hi Simon, Linda and I must try and get there again. Unfortunately we're off to Budapest next week and up to Whitby after that, so I don't think we'll be making it in August.

Simon, our next BBQ is scheduled for Sun 14th September - the week after Walton-on-the-Naze Folk Festival. Usual arrangements - I'll start a thread when we get back from hols.

Dave- I'm OK on the M11/M25 bit, it's the last 2-5 miles that are the dangerous ones!!

They changed the route to WA some years ago, now you follow the M25 (on the S side) for a while, then go under it and follow the River Lea for a while before coming to a T-junction on the road between W. Abbey and W.Cross, where you turn right towards the roundabout in the top LH corner of this map.

Jacqui

Glad you enjoyed the visit to our club on Monday and hope you can come again soon.

Dave.

The dates in my diary for the BBQ. I'll bring some veggie burgers.

Happy holidays. I'll be at Broadstairs and Cornwall this August

Simon
