Hallo, I'm looking for a database of English fiddle tunes on the Internet. In particular I'm trying to find the Yarmouth Hornpipe. Would anybody know of a good source of English fiddle tunes (and by that I mean Morris tunes as well as jigs, reels and hornpipes)?

If youre after English fiddle tunes, try a search for the Village Music Project(sorry, i cant do blue clickies). It is a fantastic source for the old tunes from fiddlers notebooks, and if you dont find what your looking for, you'll find a thousand other gems you'll be thrilled with.

"Yarmouth Hornpipe" is not found, but these may be helpful.

Walshaw's WebWide ABC Index is down just now, but does list Yarmouth Hornpipe. Takes forever to load because it's huge. You will need an abc translator program for this site.

Thanks for all the links, they're great! Just one thing--how can I find an abc translator programme?? Sorry for the question, but technology isn't always my strong point..

I have seen Yarmouth Hornpipe in a book of tunes in Norfolk, however it was the same tune known as Gallopede which you may find easier to find if it is the same tune.
ABC Music Home Page is the place to look for ABC translators.
