Hey!

Calling all catters within a couple of hours of Hillsborough, NC. (near Durham and Chapel Hill) This is very short notice, but.....

Take advantage of this very rare opportunity in our area to see and hear ballad singer Judy Cook in concert at James Pharmacy Restaurant (co-owned by our own Dani),tomorrow night, Sunday August 10 at 7:00pm.

Judy was nominated best female folksinger in the Washington DC area and is a marvelous entertainer.

James Pharmacy Restaurant (formerly LUEG's) is on Churton St. in downtown historic Hillsborough, NC. I-85 and I-40 diverge at Hillsborough.

(Dani--hope you don't mind that I posted this. I suppose I could ask first?....Naw.)

Janie

If you can get there, go. Judy has the best repertoire and delivery of unaccompanied early American ballads I've ever heard. (Not that I've heard a lot.) If you're not careful, you're liable to learn something while listening to her.

Well, sadly, I can't make it but please have her back the next time I'm up there. There was a sad dearth of ballad singing on prior visits.

...and Judy is extremely entertaining while presenting her unique versions of many of the great and serious graphic ballads as well---of course. I wish I was a fly on the wall there in your drug store and eatery.

Folks, you can't go wrong ordering the house special--and afterwards they can direct you to the Tums aisle.

Dennis and Judy, HELLO. The CDs sound pretty fine. Thank you !

Art Thieme

*smile*..those for whom Judy..(and Dennis) are local friends and wonderful hosts for many a singing event, echo the nice comments.

(they told me they had fun when they went on these trips...I see they are going to the right places!)

Why, I knew Judy when she only knew a couple hundred songs...*grin*...15 years ago...
