There's been a request for lyrics on the Nadia Cattouse thread, from someone who'd searched in vain in the DT, so here they are (as originally published in Songs of Grief and Glory):

KELSTON ROUND HILL

Three trees stand on Kelston Round Hill
Sunlight gleams o'er fields so green
In those fields two young children play
Boy and girl together seen
And the trees stand tall o'er the boy and girl
And welcome the coming of spring.

Three trees stand on Kelston Round Hill
Robed in leaves 'neath the summer sky
Lovers now, hand in hand, stroll together and
Kiss beneath the trees so high
And the trees stand tall, giving shade to all
Who rest from the summer sun.

Three trees stand on Kelston Round Hill
Richly bronzed in the autumn sun
He has gone far away, he'll come back they say
When the battle's lost or won
And the trees stand tall and the dead leaves fall
For the brave one's gone to war.

Clad in winter's coat of snow
Far away he lies, can she realise
He is dead and she must go.
And the trees stand tall, and the wild winds call
In vain, for there's none to hear.

Seasons come and seasons go

Refresh - the person who asked for the words posted as Guest bj so I've no idea how they'll find out someone supplied them if they don't log onto Mudcat again soon!
