Perhaps the question I should have asked is "Why have no young people replied?" Are there any (or many) young Mudcatters?

In my short time as a Mudcatter I've found the responses helpful and friendly, and I have no criticism - I think it's great; can we open the door to youngsters, or is it open? Are they there?

I got the impression from this thread that 'come and join us' was indeed the message, no matter how lighthearted the delivery. I've always thought that Mudcat was welcoming to everyone, it's one of the things I like about it.

Going back to the original request - is mudcat not welcoming to the younger contributor? Or should it be?

We work a lot with young musicians and find the internet and chat rooms open doors that enfranchise young people who have no car, no disposable income, and often little parental support.

Should we not say "Come and Join us"?
