Subject: BANBURY FF 2003 From: Phot Date: 27 Aug 03 - 12:10 PM I'm just wondering who might be going to Banbury this year? Its a cracking festival with lots of fun and a good cosy feel, located in a town steeped in history, on the South Oxford Canal, great indoor camping, and best of all, great beer at good prices! Oh, and Cllr and me are performing! Get the Gen here Chris |

Subject: RE: BANBURY FF 2003 From: jimmyt Date: 27 Aug 03 - 12:26 PM do you treat people who are overcome with too much beer, Jude? |
Subject: RE: BANBURY FF 2003 From: JudeL Date: 27 Aug 03 - 12:31 PM If they turned up I would treat them appropriately .... what that would mean would depend on the state they were in! |
Subject: RE: BANBURY FF 2003 From: Morticia Date: 27 Aug 03 - 12:37 PM Does that mean you are going to come kitted up with Resolve,Jude? In which case, can I book two and a glass of water now? |
Subject: RE: BANBURY FF 2003 From: JudeL Date: 27 Aug 03 - 12:50 PM I can bring some Resolve up and give it to you as a friend but NOT when I am on duty and NOT as as first aider. The rules are quite strict on some things. |

Subject: RE: BANBURY FF 2003 From: Phot Date: 27 Aug 03 - 02:53 PM Just spoken to Mary and have some more info. Season tickets are the same price as last year, only £23, even though this time it's a 3 day rather than 2 day festival. Event tickets can only be purchased on the day on site (and are obviously subject to availability) Indoor camping and hardstanding is available at North Oxfordshire College at £3.00 per person per night and a free Shuttle bus will be available from the College at peak times. Look forward to the Sunday morning Big Sing in the bus station cafeteria (scare the hell out of National Express!!) Chris |

Subject: RE: BANBURY FF 2003 From: jimmyt Date: 29 Aug 03 - 03:57 PM He9llof an idea, Bassic! I would rather meet jo9hn under less stressful circumstances (for either one of us!) Subject: RE: BANBURY FF 2003 From: Phot Date: 06 Sep 03 - 05:45 PM Just a thought from another thread, there are moorings on the cut (canal) just below the lock, which just happens to be opposite the main venue, of the festival. So all you canal catters, can have the best of both worlds! You lucky people! Wassail! Chris |
Subject: RE: BANBURY FF 2003 From: jimmyt Date: 10 Sep 03 - 03:15 PM I am renewing this thread as I am interested in trying to meet as many of the catters as possible, so any list of attendees would be helpful for me (remember I am a dumb yank so humor me) jimmyt |

Subject: RE: BANBURY FF 2003 From: George Papavgeris Date: 12 Oct 03 - 05:41 AM So many Mudcatters there! I'm ashamed to say I forgot to wear the badge, left it in the car. My excuse is that I was too flustered after having spent 3.5 hours to do the 60 or so miles (£$%^ing M40 closed twixt J8-J9, and we were diverted onto the A40 Oxford ringroad, where we joined the thousands of Saturday Oxford tourists. Aarghhhh!) But a lovely day after all that. Lots of chats, lots of hugs, lots of singing (Guru, we forgot to put the "cannon balls" down again!), got a gig out of it (mucho gracias your eminence) and some decent grog ("Steaming On", never heard of it before). Heard Cloudstreet (lovely performances to add to their powerful songwriting - jealous - who, me?). And a lovely location, and gorgeous weather. Came home just in time to catch Titch awake (and keep her awake another hour telling her about it all). Here's to the next one. |
