Amy and I were totally bemused by this photographer during our set, and he vanished before we had a chance to ask him who he was and whether we could get copies. We accosted various likely looking gentlemen on Sunday and the sing, but to no avail. We'd given up hope (and forgotten all about it) then this!

This guy is a really good photographer - caught the atmosphere of the event.

Not unlike everyone else, I had a fabulous time. This was my first festival on this side of the pond and if this was anything like the rest, I'm sure to be attending many more.

It was a pleasure to see some of the same faces I saw at the Yorkshire Gathering as well as to sing with so many new friends. It did seem a little odd to have had to travel this far to meet jimmyt. Until quite recently we lived within about 400 miles of one another.

A big thanks to all who organized the event. Well done!

Thanks to the lovely Derek and Mary for giving myself and Amy a chance to play, and without the Festival I would never have known this marvellous place existed, nor have met so many of you lovely mudcats - thanks to all of you for being so nice! - so I'm giving a big cheer to the Banbury Canalside FF, long may it continue.

Now, I'm going to toddle off and join properly... :)

Back safe after a great weekend of song and music, it was great to put faces to lots of Catters for the first time, I really enjoyed meeting you all, and here's to next year!
A very big thankyou to all of you who came and supported Cllr and I at our gigs, and put up with his bad jokes and my daft burble!

Hope to catch up on some sleep tonight after a great weekend (thanks again Derek and Mary and everyone else who helped to make it so) I'm not sure about the sand dance - if anyone took photos how much do they want to destroy the prints!!
Good to finally get a session in the bar on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon - hope the Mill staff have a 'change of heart' for next year

Wonderful weekend. Well done Derek and Mary (hope to see you on here too soon!) Late night singing at the college was brilliant with the now traditional VG cheese and biscuits to help the cocoa (or was it Baileys?) slip down and keep the vocals lubed till the wee smalls. The sanddance conga round the Brooklyn diner was certainly a sight not to miss too! Met all too briefly with Jimmyt, and many other 'catters. Shame to have to come back to earth. See you all next year.

Ducks are all home safe and sound.
Thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Good company and overrun with 'Catters.
Great to meet and have a drink and chat with jimmyt. First meetings also with Pixie of Doom and with Phot. Fun and games with (in no particular order) Morticia, Snuffy, Jude L, John Henry, Col K and others.
We will hopefully be back next year.

So many Mudcatters there! I'm ashamed to say I forgot to wear the badge, left it in the car. My excuse is that I was too flustered after having spent 3.5 hours to do the 60 or so miles (£$%^ing M40 closed twixt J8-J9, and we were diverted onto the A40 Oxford ringroad, where we joined the thousands of Saturday Oxford tourists. Aarghhhh!)
But a lovely day after all that. Lots of chats, lots of hugs, lots of singing (Guru, we forgot to put the "cannon balls" down again!), got a gig out of it (mucho gracias your eminence) and some decent grog ("Steaming On", never heard of it before). Heard Cloudstreet (lovely performances to add to their powerful songwriting - jealous - who, me?). And a lovely location, and gorgeous weather.
Came home just in time to catch Titch awake (and keep her awake another hour telling her about it all).
Here's to the next one.

Just a thought from another thread, there are moorings on the cut (canal) just below the lock, which just happens to be opposite the main venue, of the festival. So all you canal catters, can have the best of both worlds!
