Subject: RE: Welch/Rawlins Media stuff From: John Robinson (aka Cittern) Date: 02 Sep 03 - 04:26 PM Their show in Manchester was one of the best gigs I have ever been to. Wonderful stuff, and interesting to see how David's playing has moved on from the recorded versions. They mentioned that their first gig in Manchester was in a pub (the Fox and Grape?) which, on looking around the Bridgewater Hall gave all those currently working the Folk Club circuit immense hope! Best regards John Robinson http://www.JulieEllison.co.uk |

Subject: Welch/Rawlins Media stuff From: Ralphie Date: 02 Sep 03 - 02:44 PM Hi Chaps... particularly in the US. Have just spent an industrious day with Gillian and David for various BBC Radio programmes. This is not meant as a plug, but just to say that I've enjoyed today, more than many I've had recently. Delightful people, and great playing. My cup runneth over, verily!! For anyone who can access the BBC website....check out Late Junction on Radio 3 next week.....and more tracks will appear on Andy Kershaws show, before Christmas. But, for me, it was enough to have spent a few hours with these guys. Country music now makes sense!! Have a quiet night now Y'all...!! Love Ralphie |
