I will probably regret bringing this to everyone's attention because it will probably go beyond my budget, BUT it will help the Mudcat, so...

Be sure to check out the new Guy Wolff flowerpot in the auction...pix will be coming after it gets out of the kiln...Guy has just made it and hand-incised it with "Mudcat!" So, bid and bid often, folks 'cause it's a one of a kind!!

Thanks, Guy!!!

I have lots of geraniums that will need a winter home soon, so this pot will arrive just in time. Geraniums love the cool nights and warm days that are finally arriving here this week! I'll try to get a picture of my geranium pot so everyone can see how beautiful it is!

I must be nuts for posting this, because I reallyreallyreallyreally want that pot, but am also on a budget. Oh well.

OK Children. It's time to get serious about getting that pot AND raising some money for Mudcat. Every fine garden magazine and decent garden art store in the US of A (and maybe Europe, I don't know,)features Guy Wolff pots. They will one day be collector's items, and since this one is UNIQUE it will bring a nice little piece of change at an auction fifty years from now. In a thousand years, the shards with "MUDCAT" etched in them will drive archeologists nuts trying to discern the cultural significance of the inscription.

Let's get it on with a good bidding war!

Janie

************Notice************

The dates on this thread reflect two different flower pots in two different auctions. MMario and I got a geranium pot (Peale Pot) in the Mudcat auction. This is not to be confused with the special Mudcat pot in the later auction.

I finally got a picture of mine which Pene Azul has kindly posted here. Guy, I'm sorry the picture doesn't show off the beautiful rope design at the top of the pot, but I was in a hurry to get my "baby" inside since a frost was predicted. This geranium and special pot have a nice home in my sunroom for the winter.

I just found this ! Very cool and fun. Mary I pulled the picture into my photo shop and it jepeged right in so your picture is in my colection. Thanks so much ! janies pot will go out on Monday. That was very sporting of her to offer up to a bidding war and Im just as happy no one took her up on it. I want to get some doe to the old homestead here but lets not break any piggy banks along the way.
THis week I did make a pie plate with the Mudcat insignia on it that is going into the kiln tomorrow. I will open that auction after I get a picture of it to Jeff to post. Long live the CAT. I should make something with a fat fish on it next time !!! Ah I can just see it !!! All the best and thanks to everyone who have bidded on the pots so far! Guy
