Just to remind everyone that the "first Sunday sess" is this week, with myself as your new M.C.

I have talked to a lot of the regulars over the last couple of weeks and a lot of new people at both the Whitby fest and the Shanty fest so I am expecting a good attendance.

Don't forget everyone, this is your session, so any ideas and/or constructive critism is always welcome!!

Of course. Its held in the main part of the pub. Take a seat or lean against bar and join in choruses. Take it from me as an 'audience' of 25 years experience, a very underrated member of the music populace, you will not feel left out.

One of these days, Mick, Jingle and I will have to call at the Sun on our way back from Whitby, cos we've always got our instruments with us. What time's kick offt? Can you park nearby?
      We always enjoy your company and songs in the Endeavour, we'll have to inflict our stuff on Beverley's unsuspecting sessioneers.

The first Sunday of the month session starts at 2pm. All the other Sunday sessions start at 4pm - I run the last Sunday of the month.

Of course you and the lovely Jingle are always welcome at the "Sun".I have spent many an enjoyable hour with your good selves.

Kick of is twoish and you can park nearby at the minster,or you should not have to much difficullty in the immediate area.

Went for a stroll on the dockside Sunday morning and got dragged kicking and screaming into the "Minerva" by Mrs.Ossonflags at opening time.There, hearty sailiors,jolly jack tars and comely wenches,forced me to drink copious amounts of Bear9Hoi and sing lots of songs so I didnt get out untill much, much, much later.

Please note that from next Sunday (21st Sept) all of the Sun sessions will start at 3pm. This is to avoid confusing poor simple folkies with 2pm starts one week and 4pm on others.

As before, Mick will run the first Sunday of the month, I will run the last and Keith will run the others.

Thanks for that Roger,and thanks to all who turned up to support at my first session as MC.Would have been nice to have seen a few more faces, but realise it is Holiday time and that.Did not have any complants so it must have been alright.Hope to see you all there in October.
