Bored in east Virginia

I was bored in east Virginia
North Carolina I did go
I have no idea why I went there
Maybe I was really drunk or stoned

There I met a pretty little girl
Who's name and age I did not know
Cause first she said she was twenty three
Then she said she was 18 years old

Her knees they were covered with mud
Her tooth it shone a shiny green
her pimples glistened in the moonlight
When she smiled right up to me

Then we went in the dark alley
For to sleep beneath the stars
I held her unbathed form close to me
As we lay there in each other's arms

Then she took my greenback dollar
Then she took my silver change
And she left with all of my clothes
As I screamed please come back again

I was busted by the Charleston cops
They hauled me in for indecency
Then I saw her with another man
And I found she was just fourteen

Now I stare through the iron bars
Of my cell in the county jail
I'm wondering why I ever came here
Away from my home and my cousin Gail

But I was bored in East Virginia
North Carolina I did go

Hi, Amergin - nice song. I'm supposing it's your work, but I wish you'd say it in the post. It makes it much easier for us who harvest, if we can see at a glance where a song came from.
