Subject: RE: Origins: Who's in the Bathroom Hanging on the Wal From: GUEST,Richard Date: 30 Jul 10 - 07:46 PM I was born in 1957 in Vancouver B.C. and when I was very small it used to be my favourite song, so everyone in my family sang it. My older siblings remember that it used to be played on the Ross Mortimer show on a local radio station. 20 or so years ago I mentioned this song to a retired teacher (also in Vancouver) who remembered a film strip that featured the song. I've never heard the recorded version, nor do I know who sang it, but I've been looking for it for decades. If anyone knows, please post the information. Richard |
Subject: RE: Origins: Who's in the Bathroom Hanging on the Wall From: GUEST Date: 06 Nov 12 - 02:52 PM My aunt had a record she played for her two boys and myself when I visited, and I remember only the first verse: Who's in the bathroom, hanging on the wall, Standing at attention 'til you come to call? Who's always ready, at your beck and call? Why it's your friend, with the bristles on the end - Tommy Toothbrush 'em up, brush 'em up, brush 'em up, brush 'em up... I sing this a lot, and my husband thinks I'm kind of crazy, but I loved this song!!1 Ethel |
