Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The Grisly Bride From: GUEST,Kathy Date: 11 Sep 03 - 05:11 PM Thank you! Thank you. I will tell you that on my recording Jean Redpath finishes the song to momentary silence when she looks down into the first rows of her audience and sees a very young child just frozen, staring at her. She says in her thick accent, "Oh, dear, I think I've blighted the baby for life." Kathy |

Subject: Lyr Req: The Grisly Bride From: GUEST,Kathy Date: 11 Sep 03 - 04:08 PM Some 10-15 years ago I recorded off the radio Jean Redpath as a guest on Prairy Home Companion singing an Austrailian folk song called: The Grisly Bride. It is about a man marrying a were dingo and she kills him. It will make your hair stand on end. I have lost my recording and cannot remember all the words. With Halloween approaching though I have use for it. Thanks for your help. |
