You're welcome. Still haven't found either a full track or the actual lyrics.

One web-site mentioned there is a new version of the song as well.

I don't know if you're listening to a vinyl copy - if so, it might help to get a CD - you can see the Best Of album at

(I can't find a lyric,either)

Subject: Lyr Add: ONE NOTE MAN (Paul Arnoldi) (incomplete)
From: Jim Dixon
Date: 14 Sep 03 - 07:43 PM

Here's my transcription from the incomplete mp3 file that George linked to above.

ONE NOTE MAN
(Paul Arnoldi)

I am a one-note man.
I play it all I can.
In this life of mine,
This life of mine,
I play it all the time.

Oh, happiness and pain,
Walkin' in the wind and the rain,
And the sky so blue,
The sky so blue,
Laughin' and lovin' you.

I am a one-note man.
I play it all I can.
In this life of mine,
This life of mine,
I play it all the time.

Time has its way.
Old Man Time has...

Maybe this info will be useful to somebody:

"One Note Man" was written by Paul Arnoldi, and performed by him on his album "A One Note Man," 1966.

It is also performed by Swamp Water on 2 albums: "Swamp Water," 1971; and on the various-artists compilation "Fallen Angels," 2000.

Also by The Youngbloods on 3 albums: "Youngbloods," 1967; "Sunlight," 1971; and "Get Together/Elephant Mountain," 1999.

These albums are all classified as "country rock," "folk rock," or "alternative country" by AMG - All Music Guide.

Time has its way
Old man time has his say
A gallon or a dram
A gallon or a dram
A blessing or a damn

They are the last stanza lyrics to complete Jim's post of 14 Sep 03 - 07:43 PM
