Subject: Fortunato Does Dallas 10/20-22/03 From: Fortunato Date: 15 Sep 03 - 07:53 PM Fortunato here. I'll be in Dallas Monday evening, 10/20 and fly out on the the 23rd. Evenings are free. My hotel is near DFW, and I can get a car, if need be, so I can make it over to FT Worth. Is there still a jam at the Bull and Bush? What night was that? Is Wesley still in town, and Bronwyn? Love to see you folks, and hoping to connect with Jed, et al. Possibility of a jam session or a friendly pint? Chance Shiver |

Subject: RE: Fortunato Does Dallas 10/20-22/03 From: Wesley S Date: 16 Sep 03 - 10:48 AM Chance - yup still here. Let me check my calendar. It's a shame you aren't arriving on the 17th. Roy Bookbinder is playing a coffeehouse in Dallas. I'm not sure about the Bull and Bush. Parenthood has kept me away from there. More later. |
Subject: RE: Fortunato Does Dallas 10/20-22/03 From: Fortunato Date: 16 Sep 03 - 03:44 PM Silly River Sage(SRS): Business travel, SRS, a two day meeting. Music is my avocation, and Engineering, currently Ergonomics, is my vocation. Greg, we're hoping to make it to the UK next year, and thanks, I'd love to fill that seat with my aging buttocks. Micca and MOOMAN, are Aine and Debbie one and the same? I'll pm Aine and buy her that pint if at all possible, my wiccan chum. Wesley, it'd be good to see you again, I hope we can work it out. cheers, Chance |

Subject: RE: Fortunato Does Dallas 10/20-22/03 From: Fortunato Date: 17 Sep 03 - 10:17 AM Oh. Sorry. Stilly River Sage. Got it. Athough Silly River Sage has a certain zen-like quality, have you seen the wood block print of the monk Basho traveling with a large frog on his head? cheers, chance |
Subject: RE: Fortunato Does Dallas 10/20-22/03 From: Micca Date: 17 Sep 03 - 11:51 AM Chance, I always liked the one of the monk meditating in the waterfall!!! The Gaelic godess Áine ( the Keeper of the Mudcat Songbook) does not in anyway resemble Debbie who "does" Dallas in quite a different way!! Well I HOPE not anyway!! Áine plays mando Chance!! I dont THINK Debbie did? tendency to choke up on the neck? |
Subject: RE: Fortunato Does Dallas 10/20-22/03 From: Fortunato Date: 17 Sep 03 - 01:15 PM Micca, I've PMed Aine (how do you do that accent, chum?). I've never met a Gaelic Goddess, unless a Jewish American Princess qualifies. I'm looking forward to it. cheers, matey. |
Subject: RE: Fortunato Does Dallas 10/20-22/03 From: Micca Date: 17 Sep 03 - 01:40 PM Chance, the accent is done by simultaneously pressing (Ctrl+Alt plus the letter of choice), for lower case, thus á or (+Shift) as well for capitals thus Á and the name is pronounced Aw-nyeh! |
Subject: RE: Fortunato Does Dallas 10/20-22/03 From: Fortunato Date: 03 Oct 03 - 09:27 AM Looks like I'm headed to the Bull and Bush session on Wednesday the 22nd. From the B&B Website it looks like it should be fun. I hope they'll let me play an OT song or two, as my celtic repertoire is sorely limited (my celtic roots are some 2 or 3 hundred years removed). I hope to see the DFW Mudcatters there. I'm still open on the other nights (20 and 21) if anyone would like to get together. Just let me know. cheers, chance |

Subject: RE: Fortunato Does Dallas 10/20-22/03 From: Bill D Date: 04 Oct 03 - 06:53 PM Micca...that ctrl-alt..etc., trick won't work on just any machine---you must have a setup especially geared for it... what you CAN do, Chance, is get a list of the codes for the various characters, OR use a little program called AllChars (All characters) which provides an 'almost' intuitive way to key everything. ½ ¾ äó Á etc....works quite well |
Subject: RE: Fortunato Does Dallas 10/20-22/03 From: GUEST,FORTUNATO no accent Date: 05 Oct 03 - 11:10 AM Thanks, Bill, I was wondering why it didn't work. Figured my rubber chicken has lost its Juju. Happens every year or so. Thanky kindly. chance |
