Subject: Lyric req: Tibet (Martin Curtis) From: GUEST,Guest, Chris Date: 28 Sep 03 - 05:37 AM Hi There, Does anyone know the lyrics to a Martin Curtis song, the title of which I think is 'Tibet'. The chorus goes: Tibet, oh Tibet You'll get your freedom yet it may take a hundred years or more, the fight will never cease, tibet, oh tibet, you'll get your'e freedom yet, you have so much to show the world- how to live in peace. I can't remember the full lyrics but would love to know it all, to sing the song. thanks in advance Chris |

Subject: RE: Lyric req: Tibet (Martin Curtis) From: Jim Dixon Date: 30 Sep 03 - 11:05 PM I assume you mean the New Zealander Martin Curtis. While his web site does mention his interest in Tibet, it doesn't list any song by that name. But it does tell how you can contact him, or buy his albums. |
Subject: RE: Lyric req: Tibet (Martin Curtis) From: GUEST,Guest Chris Date: 01 Oct 03 - 08:49 AM Thanks Jim, Yes the Martin Curtis I refer to is the New Zealander and I tried his website as well. As you say although he mentions an interest in Tibet, no mention of the song. I'll email him I think or try to track down the individual I heard sing it at a folk club recently. Thanks again Chris |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The Demon's Mask (Martin Curtis) From: Jim Dixon Date: 04 Dec 11 - 10:11 PM Martin's web site now has a 1:10 sample, from which I transcribed this: THE DEMON'S MASK (excerpt) As sung by Martin Curtis on "Beyond a Climber's Moon" ...but we have heard your victims' cries. We've listened to your blatant lies. We won't forgive your evil ways; they just can't be ignored. And for your barbarous genocide, There is no place for you to hide. History will condemn you as it's done to those before. Tibet, O Tibet, You'll get your freedom yet. It may take a hundred years or more, but the fight will never cease. Tibet, O Tibet, I swear we'll not forget. You had so much to show the world:—how to live in peace.... |
