If any of you London based mudcatters are near a radio this Thursday I'll be presenting the "Traditional Hour" live on Resonance 104.4 FM between 2pm and 3pm. For non Londoners, it is also available streamed from their web site here although when I try to listen that way it's not always successful (could be my set up!).

Reg Hall usually presents the show every Thursday, but it has also been done by Peta Webb, Keith Summers, Ken Hall et al.

Resonance 104.4 is described on their web site as London's first radio art station, brought to you by the London Musician's Collective

Hope you enjoy the show, I'm enjoying putting it together.

Weyhey!! Get down and groove with the Man Sheils.

I find Real Audio streaming works fine for Resonance (I'm listening to a great programme on Kurdish music right now) but The Traditional Hour does not appear to be archived on the server. I have emailed the station from the link on their site asking for this to be done.

If enough other people do likewise, Kevin can look forward to a worldwide audience for a show he's put so much work into producing.

Thanks to those who have posted for your comments.

I managed to get the archive to work for the show at the end of last week but it wasn't the latest show that Reg had done.

I'll ask the guys at the studio about it on Thursday.

If things go as planned the show should cover a range of music from the Coppers to Leadbelly, from Sarah Makem to Clarence Ashley with a possible detour to Italy for some of the Trallaleri of Genoa.

But then again I could have a complete rethink before Thursday.....

Then it's back to Walthamstow in the evening for Mary H and Anahata.

I'd say Jimmy Young move over, except he already has. "Radio Art" - sounds like Railroad Bill's more sophisticated cousin.

Ah! --- that's all right then. For a moment I thought we wouldn't be seeing you on Thursday night... then I saw the times for your show.

Looking forward to hearing about it!

Anahata

Well just a few hours now. I hadn't realised a few CDs and vinyl could be so heavy, but public transport it has to be ;-)
