Couldn't have been written for Disney, if it was popular in 1906. I think the Disney one is a different song.

I COULD LOVE A MILLION GIRLS is sung by Donald O'Connor on the soundtrack album for the 1981 film "Ragtime."

Web pages about that album say the song was written by C. Freeman and E. Woolfe. Some reviews call it a "period piece."

However, other sources say it was written by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman for the 1963 Disney film "Summer Magic" starring Hayley Mills. (The Shermans wrote lots of music for Disney films.)
