Had meeting last night with the fellas I intend to play with next year, for anybody who's interested. We appear to have formalised an initial set list of material, 20 songs, to include The Police, Crowded House, ZZ Top, The Eagles, Hall & Oates, The Quo, Del Amitrie, Tears for Fears, Huey Lewis, Thin Lizzy, The Stones....

It ain't folk music, boys and girls! But I reckon it's gonna be a whole lotta fun. I know that a lot of you folkies are also old rockers too. Would you enjoy a set like that? Any thoughts? The band is a five piece, 2 guitars, Keyboards, Drums and Bass. And we all sing.

Like I said, watch this space. For those of you who don't know, I shall continue to play once a month next year with PTH at Durty Nellies.

Cheers, Pete.

Smallpiper, thank you for that kind enquiry, you have always been a keen supporter of the Band that is dear to my heart.

Yes,it is perfectly true, the lovely and talented Ms Williamson will indeed be thrilling everyone with her fiddle virtuosity on the 15th this saturday at the Durty Nellies in Hull.

To tell you the truth, I don't honestly know!

As an aside, PTH went high-tech last night. I used my new processor to see what I could do with the acoustic guitar sound. Abbeyfeale was beautiful! Think I'll be using that again.

I thought my ears were burning. And yes, Smallpooper, it would be quite an uncontrolable blaze. If you go to 28 Meadow Road, Oldbury (off j2 of the M5, up the 4123 towards Brum turn left up Pound Road (opposite the college) you will start to see signs to Oaketworld - "where dreams can come true". It is a theme park dedicated to my life, work, hygiene, punctuality and my brilliant mind. Admission is £7.50 which goes to fund the Oaklet Foundation which is busy improving the lives of many, in the construction of a two-car brick garage in South Ferriby and the procurement of some double glazing for a dilapidated farmhouse.

I can't recommend the jars of body cheese (£3.00) strongly enough - it was a long hot summer.
