Subject: TOMMY TALKERS? From: GUEST,HUMMING Date: 03 Nov 03 - 08:17 PM Does anyone know anything about the Tommy Talker bands from the early 1900s in England? I did a web search but didn't come up with much. I'm pretty sure Tommy Talkers were a type of kazoo. |

Subject: RE: TOMMY TALKERS? From: GUEST,HUMMING Date: 04 Nov 03 - 04:15 PM Les B is right , where are my manners - -Brucie & Amos, thanks much! I have sort of a special interest in kazoos & mirlitons. I would also assume that Roger the Skiffler is interested in kazoos as well (maybe). Thanks again! |

Subject: RE: TOMMY TALKERS? From: Geoff the Duck Date: 05 Nov 03 - 04:23 AM When I saw this thread I was going to mention that I recalled an article written some years back by Ronnie Wharton, but I see that Amos has already found a copy of it on-line. Ronnie used to be one of the organisers of the Topic Folk Club in Bradford (West Yorks). Quack! GtD. |
