Thank you so much for remembering all the lyrics. I love to sing it when I am stuck behind this "kind" of driver...because it is so true! i have been trying to teach it to my 14 year old son who loves it but it has been so long since I heard it I couldn't remember all the lyrics. Now this classic can be passed on to the next generation.

I first heard that song sung by Mark and Brian who have a syndicated radio morning show that's broadcast from out here in L.A.. Did they write it? I don't know.

This song was written and performed by Jonathon Brandmeier (and, I assume, his band The Leisure Suits).

He was a local morning disc jockey in Phoenix Arizona in the early 80's when I was a student there.

He was and is known for his song parodies (see "Dead Donkeys On the Runway Again".

Not only is this biased, but, in my experience, it is grossly incorrect. When I lived in South Korea, the drivers alternated between brake & accelerator & drove extremely fast & erratically.

My dad and I used to sing this song on our way back from Karate class (sort of ironic). We only knew the first verse and half the third verse, so we made up the rest, lol.

I heard this in the early 80's sung by Moby of Moby and Matthews in Houston. I always remembered the 1st verse. Loved it then and it's still appropriate today. I will never understand the leaving your left foot on the brake while you leave your right foot on the gas. They could never drive a manual transmission.

Then again, if you've ever been to China you wouldn't understand.
