Subject: pop songs in c and g for kids

Help please, I do some performances for kids, and sometimes give out the inexpensive blues band harmonicas, which play okay til they wear out. I'm trying to complile a list of songs elementary school kids know, or may have on movie soundtracks, in the keys of c, and g for cross-harp. I may have to just plunk through a bunch, I have imperfect pitch. Anybody happen to know any?

While it's sad and surprising how many kids don't know many folk standards, right now I'm interested in anything they do know. I've had to learn a few Avril Levigne tunes, Miss Independence, the song from Holes, since they know the words, and they learn the songs I do as we go along.

Any help? Has anyone collected folk songs in Blues Band keys on cd? That might be a good thing to do.

Love Me Do in G is simple and sounds good with a C cross harp. I don't know if the kids will know it though. Most of the stuff they hear on the radio is not real songs, but some jerk chanting doggerel over a drum track!
